The Makers’ Collective gathered in the summer of 2021. Eleven artists crossing the mediums of poetry and songwriting and storytelling and image making from Vancouver to Toronto. We gathered to generate new work and to build a community. Both have been difficult to do of late. We began with the text of Ecclesiastes as our inspiration to talk to each other and to God and to our potential audience. We wrestled with words and theology and what is left to say. Mostly we just enjoyed each others presence and encouragement to just keep going.

We hope you enjoy these musings as much as we enjoyed making them.
